$200,000 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 in Beverly Hills
A 2022 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic driving in Beverly Hills. Introduced at the 2019 Guangzhou International Motor Show, the Maybach GLS 600 was based on the Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class (X167) full-size SUV and is powered by a Mercedes-AMG M177 twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This example is equipped with over $25,000 of factory options, including two-tone Cirrus Silver and Manufaktur Diamond White Metallic paint and 23-inch Maybach multispoke forged wheels.
I've always appreciated Mercedes-Maybach's understated approach to high-end luxury, using existing Mercedes-Benz components and styling as a foundation to provide luxury in the same league as Rolls-Royce and Bentley at a lower price and without much of the excessive showiness. Of course, it's clear that newer models have begun to stray from that ethos, and we all know that nobody really drives their $200,000 Maybach on terrain where "Bounce Mode" can actually be used for its intended purpose. But the GLS remains a classy German alternative to the pricier Bentayga and Cullinan that still looks right at home on good ol' Rodeo Drive.
Would you choose this Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 over a Bentley Bentayga or Rolls-Royce Cullinan? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
