A custom 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera S arriving at The California Showcase at IKEA, organized by The Exotics Network (TEN) and Morning Car Club. This car has been modified with Ruf front and rear bumpers, Desmond RegaMaster wheels, and Milliotone “Boring White” Super Gloss vinyl wrap. The color, a collaboration with The Boring Concept, was officially unveiled at SPOCOM Los Angeles on July 11, 2026 and is now available as a vinyl wrap through Milliotone and as a Dynamic Paint Protection Film (PPF) through Inozetek.

When most people want their cars to stand out, they opt for a huge wing and a flashy color. But in a time when people increasingly care more about following trends than being creative and original, the owner of this Porsche decided to blaze his own trail. He let the 993's sleek and clean profile speak for itself and did little more to the actual bodywork other than add the instantly recognizable Ruf bumpers, which have always been known for their subtle appearance especially given the actual Ruf cars' mind-blowing performance capabilities. In the same way, the custom wheels offer a healthy dose of personalization without screaming for attention. Lastly, there's the color. Not only did this owner choose a seemingly unassuming shade of muddled white, but he shamelessly gave it the name "Boring White". And did his unorthodox approach to building a cool car actually work? Absolutely. Sure, the average 12-year-old with an iPhone might overlook it in favor of chasing after a loud and flashy McLaren or Lambo. But this car wasn't made to impress an average 12-year-old. For a true car enthusiast, there's just so much to love and appreciate about it. Whether it's the allure of the last air-cooled Porsche or the subtle seductiveness of the custom build, this car is one that's truly hard to ignore once you've fixed your eyes upon it. Who says boring can't be cool?
