It's unfortunate that most American luxury cars today are perceived as being a tier or two below their European rivals. A century ago, that was certainly not the case. Companies like Cadillac and Lincoln, along with several now-defunct American luxury car manufacturers, were building cars on par with Europe's best - cars that countless people dreamed of owning but only the wealthiest could obtain. Just look at this gorgeous Lincoln! From its generous proportions to the huge V8 up front, this car exudes class today no less than it did in the 1920s. The L-Series was the first car produced by Lincoln. The company has experienced various ups and downs over the past hundred years, but I would love to see it find enough success to return to its roots of building dream cars like this.
