Today, owning a two-door car is considered a luxury, and two-door variants of existing sedans often cost more than their four-door counterparts despite offering less space and practicality. A century ago, things were a bit more, um, logical. Ford's successful Model A was offered in both two-door and four-door variants, and the two-doors cost significantly less than the four-doors simply because, well, it has less doors. And those two-door cars were actually quite popular. After all, why pay extra for what you don't need? Like its predecessor, the revolutionary Model T, the Model A was meant to be an affordable and economical means of transportation. So if two doors and a rumble seat were all that a buyer needed, then it made perfect sense to opt for just that. Today, people often choose two-door cars because they are more stylish. And this Model A, despite being nearly a century old, certainly fits that bill with its Roadster bodywork and sloping rear profile. Who would have thought that an economical little car would, after over 90 years, still be putting smiles on people's faces?
