1938 Bentley "Black Prince" Special Speedster
A one-off 1938 Bentley 4¼ Litre Special Speedster leaving the 2018 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance. Originally a four-door saloon, this car, chassis no. B161LE, was purchased by owner Gary Wales around 30 years ago, and the body, which was in bad condition, was replaced by a bespoke open tourer body designed by Wales. Dubbed "The Black Prince", the car features three different kinds of wood, a tachometer from a WWI fighter plane, and unique rear-hinged doors shaped to accomodate the side-mounted spare wheels.
