1948 Tucker #1006 (w/ startup)
A very rare 1948 Tucker 48, one of only 51 built (and 47 still existing), starting up and leaving Cars and Coffee at Crystal Cove Shopping Center. Powered by a Franklin O-335 helicopter engine, the Tucker features several innovative features, including a directional "Cyclops Eye" headlight. This example, chassis no. 1006, was the first Tucker sold to the public. The only Tucker finished in Green with Beige interior, it was discovered in a parking garage in 1991 and underwent a 5,000-hour restoration by RM Restorations. It was judged "the best and most accurate Tucker in the world" by the Tucker Club at its 50th anniversary convention.
