A blue 1963 Morgan +4 (Plus 4) Drophead Coupe arriving at the Early Rodders Car Meet at United Artists Theatres.

I couldn't help but ask the owner of this car what I assume he'd already been asked a million times - "How old is it?" Most enthusiasts would easily recognize the car as a Morgan and might not care precisely what year it was built, but when it comes to Morgans it can be hard to tell whether a car is brand new or over half a century old. And it also has one of the most confusing naming systems in automotive history - this car's official name is "+4", it was introduced alongside the "4/4", and the modern equivalent of this car is called "Plus 4". I hope I got that right. At some point there was also a "+4+" (or ""Plus 4 Plus""). Yikes.

This car's more upright profile made it clear that it's a vintage model - a pleasant surprise to me, since most Morgans I encounter are newer variants. It's certainly a lovely and timeless English sports car - a fitting choice for a slightly wet Saturday morning!

Would you choose this car over a modern Morgan? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
