Blue Carbon Fiber 2024 Pininfarina Battista Centocinquanta

A rare 2024 Pininfarina Battista, one of 150 being built, arriving at and leaving "Prebble", a Pre-Monterey (Pre-Pebble Beach) gathering at Oakley headquarters presented by Ancillary Studios in collaboration with HyperSociety. This blue exposed carbon fiber example, the Battista "Centocinquanta", was delivered to its owner through Automobili Pininfarina Newport Beach in November 2023. It is the first Battista finished in fully exposed carbon fiber and features various bespoke engravings and design elements.

Even at an epic event with nearly two dozen hypercars present, this Battista was the sole vehicle with an all-electric powertrain. Just like the others, it's obscenely powerful and fast and carries a price tag well in the millions. It's also incredibly beautiful with its sleek carbon fiber bodywork and butterfly doors. But whether cruising or racing, it does so in utter silence, so much so that those of us accustomed to hearing high-performance cars approaching from a distance must learn to focus more on using our eyes just to know it's right next to us. From enthusiasts to manufacturers, some believe this is the inevitable future while others are skeptical of market readiness. The owner of this Battista has driven it to and from numerous events ranging from supercar shows to college car club gatherings, and whether others appreciate it or not, I'm glad he's letting so many people catch a glimpse of this engineering and design marvel.
