A blue Superformance Shelby Cobra 427 w/ grey racing stripes arriving at and leaving Cars and Coffee at Crystal Cove Shopping Center.

It's nearly impossible to tell apart an original 1960s Cobra from a continuation model or even a well-built replica. This car is clearly not one of the '60s cars since it's wearing a Superformance plate. (And wouldn't it be funny if someone stuck a Superformance plate on an original seven-figure Cobra just for the heck of it?) And even so, it's hard to tell whether it's a licensed continuation car or one of Superformance's replica models. I've always found it strange that, while different car companies have different stances on replicas, Shelby authorized Superformance to build official continuation models while simultaneously allowing the company to build replicas. Still, at least it gives potential buyers a wide variety of options to choose from, all of which you can enjoy driving without worrying about historical value.

Would you add a Superformance Cobra to your garage? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
