Brand New $480K 2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante
A brand new 2026 Aston Martin Vanquish Volante from Galpin Aston Martin arriving at and leaving the 2025 San Marino Motor Classic at Lacy Park. The Volante (convertible) version of the third-generation Vanquish was introduced in March 2025 and has a starting price of over $480,000, around $50,000 more than the coupe. Both variants are powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter V12 engine producing 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque. This example, a factory demo car, is finished in California Sage with Trophy Silver rear "shield", Bright grille finish, 21" Gloss Black Diamond Turned Multi Spoke wheels, and Black brake calipers.
It's always exciting catching a car of a future model year for the first time. I saw the new third-generation Vanquish for the first time in both coupe and Volante forms at this event, and I have to say, they look much better in person than I had expected. My initial impression based on pictures and videos was that, compared to the Vantage and DB12, the Vanquish had a less organic profile and a strange-looking rear end. But seeing it in the flesh really helped me get a better sense of what the designers were trying to achieve. The rear "shield" definitely takes getting used to, especially in a contrasting color like this. It reminds me a lot of the side blades of the first-generation Audi R8 - also a unique design feature that received some initial criticism but proved to be effective once people got used to it, not to mention useful for personalization (though I fear some of today's attention-craving individuals might use it in ways that will make James Bond spit out his vodka martini in disgust). This car certainly has presence. It's both classy and muscular, both luxurious and powerful. And the lovely growl of that exhaust, even at idle, will constantly remind you that whenever you want to enjoy some more spirited driving, there are over 800 horses under the hood at your command!
