Custom Porsche 997 GT3 w/ GMG Racing Exhaust
A custom Riviera Blue wrapped 2008 Porsche 911 (997) GT3 leaving the RPM Exotic Car Event at Hing Wa Lee Plaza. In addition to a 997.2 body conversation, including a GT3 Cup front bumper and GT3 RS rear wing, this car has been modified with GMG Racing components including a carbon fiber decklid, 19” WC 130R wheels, a roll cage, and WC exhaust.
The 996 helped carry Porsche through some challenging times and brought the legendary 911 nameplate into a new era, though in doing so it also became the subject of much controversy. With the 997 generation, customer expectations have been properly managed and the track-focused GT3 quickly became a benchmark performance car. Countless aftermarket companies came up with ways to further enhance the car's capabilities. This example could easily be mistaken for the more extreme GT3 RS thanks to its flashy color and numerous other modifications. And the custom exhaust really brings out the excitement of that engine. Sure, it may only have six naturally aspirated cylinders. But it's hard to find a six-pot that sounds better than this.
