A rare 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 owned and driven by David Lee, Chairman and CEO of Hing Wa Lee Jewelers, arriving at the 2025 San Marino Motor Classic at Lacy Park. The third of Ferrari's "Icona" series of limited production cars inspired by historic models, the Daytona SP3 is built on a LaFerrari Aperta chassis and is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated F140HC V12 engine producing 828 horsepower. This example, finished in green exposed carbon fiber with gold racing stripe and wheels, is one of 599 Daytona SP3s being built, 30 of which have exposed carbon fiber bodywork.

Many fans of the good ol' internal combustion engine believe the SP3 is what the LaFerrari should have been all along. Well, Ferrari recently resurrected the famed Testarossa name for the SF90's successor - a decision that left many enthusiasts scratching their heads since the new car has neither the '80s-'90s icon's signature strakes nor a 12-cylinder engine. And that turned people's attention right back to the SP3. It utilizes horizontal strakes throughout its design - a clear nod to the Testarossa - and it has a naturally aspirated V12 without any electrification. To many traditional Ferrari fans, this car, rather than the new 849, is what a modern-day Testarossa should be.

Do you think Ferrari should have given the resurrected Testarossa name to the SP3 rather than the new 849? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
