The 4x4² was always meant to stand out from the crowd. It looks like a life-size Tonka truck with its brick-like shape and lifted stance, and the huge three-pointed star up front assures buyers that it's a legitimate status symbol worth its hefty price. It's too tall to fit into most garages and parking structures, and for those of us in L.A., the only time its advanced off-roading capabilities will ever be put to the test is with our notorious potholes. But at least you can sit through traffic leaving the peasants around you with no doubt that you like expensive toys and are too cool to give a schmuck about anything else.
