New $300K 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Special Edition
A rare new 2025 Porsche 911 (992) Turbo 50 Years arriving at and leaving "Prebble", a Pre-Monterey (Pre-Pebble Beach) gathering at HyperSociety. Introduced in August 2024, the Turbo 50 Years commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first 911 Turbo launched in October 1974. The special edition model is based on the 911 (992) Turbo S and shares its twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine producing 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. This example, finished in Ice Grey Metallic, is one of 1,974 being built with a starting price (MSRP) of $270,500. It is equipped with the Heritage Design Package, a $17,580 Exclusive Manufaktur option, which includes 20"/21" Sport Classic wheels.
Here we go again - Another special edition Porsche honoring a historic anniversary with graphics, special interior trim, Fuchs-inspired wheels, and a cute production limit number based on the year being commemorated. The formula works every time. What sets this particular special edition apart is that it's based on the Turbo, or more specifically the Turbo S, which is already an incredibly potent (and incredibly expensive) car. Oh, and most of those heritage visual add-ons don't even come standard. So first you pay a premium of around $30K (over the standard $240K Turbo S) to own one of the 1,974 special edition cars (which offers little more than badging, decals, and interior upgrades), then Porsche makes you pay another $18K to get the special optional package that actually makes it look more like a special edition. And if your wallet is still too heavy at that point, you can also get a special $12K watch that's only made available to owners of these 1,974 cars. The 911 has definitely come a long way given it ultimately traces its roots back to the humble Volkswagen-based 356. And as long as enthusiasts continue to show enough interest (and money) in these special editions, I have a feeling this is far from the last time Porsche will utilize this tried-and-true formula.
Would you pay a $50,000 premium for this special edition with the Heritage package, or would you rather stick with a standard Turbo S? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
