A new yellow 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto from Lamborghini Newport Beach arriving at and leaving Cars and Coffee at Finish Line Auto Club. Introduced in March 2023 as a successor to the Aventador, the Revuelto has a starting price (MSRP) of over $600,000 and features a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 6.5-liter V12 engine and three electric motors producing a total of 1,001 horsepower.

Every new series-production V12 Lamborghini is a significant milestone in the automotive world. And these milestones don't come very often; the Aventador was introduced in 2011, and before that the Murcielago was introduced in 2001. But what you're looking at is the car that, like the Countach, Diablo, Murcielago, and Aventador have, serves as the quintessential supercar for the next decade - the one on posters hung on every car-loving kid's wall and the one that immediately comes to mind first when people talk about expensive, fast, flashy, exotic supercars.

Of course, a decade of technological innovation means the new Revuelto should be vastly improved compared to the Aventdor. Love it or hate it, the most notable change is the addition of electric motors to create a hybrid powertrain. But thanks to those electric motors, the Revuelto's performance figures are those that, not too long ago, were rivaled only by the most expensive hypercars. It has 1,001 horsepower just like the Bugatti Veyron. It does 0-60 in around 2.5 seconds like the Veyron. And it even has an exposed engine like the Veyron. Yes, the Revuelto costs more than double the Murcielago when new around two decades ago. But given the Veyron was priced at $1.2 million around that same time, the new Lambo is a testament to all the technical advancements that have made such figures possible in sub-hypercar territory.

This car definitely looks much better in person than in pictures, though just like the Aventador, it may be too busy for a base model that's expected to spawn probably at least a dozen variants over the next decade. I personally appreciate the overall cohesiveness of the design with several styling cues repeated throughout the car. And of course, you can't go wrong with a new Lambo in yellow! As long as customers are willing to embrace the hybrid technology and fork up the high price, the Revuelto should soon become a regular sight at supercar events.
