One-Off Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Bijan Edition in Downtown L.A.
A one-off 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Bijan Edition driving in Downtown Los Angeles. Unveiled during Monterey Car Week in 2019, this car was a collaboration between Nicolas Bijan and Q by Aston Martin and is finished in Bijan Yellow with Q Titanium Grey interior with alligator hide trim. The Bijan Edition DBS Superleggera is available to order through both Aston Martin dealers and The House of Bijan.
When you live and work in Beverly Hills where brand new exotic cars are an everyday sight, you need to use a little creativity if you want to stand out. For the late Bijan Pakzad, creativity certainly wasn't a problem. Having established his name as one of the most exclusive menswear designers in the world, it only made sense that his cars received the same personalized treatment. Bijan worked closely with brands like Bugatti and Rolls-Royce to create bespoke cars, and most of those cars were finished in his signature "Bijan Yellow" to match his iconic Rodeo Drive storefront. Since his passing in 2011, his son Nicolas Bijan has continued running and growing the business. And thankfully, he has inherited his father's love for unique cars as well.
Some may find the Bijan family's yellow cars polarizing, but I think it's safe to say the attention-grabbing hue looks most at home on sleeker and sportier cars including this one. Despite being outside of Beverly Hills where it was most commonly spotted, the car was easily recognizable from far away. Yellow may not be the color of choice for your average MI6 secret agent, but it certainly adds a unique flair to what is already one of the classiest and sexiest modern GT cars money can buy. This car was listed for sale recently and appears to have been sold already. I'm surprised Nicolas Bijan would let it go after only a few years, but I certainly look forward to seeing what other automotive projects he may have in store.
