One-Off Balmoral Green Aston Martin DB7 Vantage V12 GT
A rare 2003 Aston Martin DB7 Vantage GT arriving at and leaving Cars and Coffee at Crystal Cove Shopping Center. Introduced at the 2002 British International Motor Show, the manual GT and automatic GTA were based on the DB7 Vantage and featured upgraded suspension, unique 18" five-spoke wheels, and revised bodywork with a mesh front grille and a rear spoiler. The GT is powered by a modified version of the DB7 Vantage's 5.9-liter V12 engine producing 435 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. This one-off example was originally purchased by Greg Garrison, producer of "The Dean Martin Show". Finished in Rolls-Royce Balmoral Green with tan interior, it had a starting price (MSRP) of $163,525.00 and is one of 190 DB7 Vantage GTs built, 64 of which were for the U.S. market.
The DB7 is undoubtedly a gorgeous car, regardless of which variant you're looking at. But if what's under the hood matters to you, chances are you'll opt for the later V12-powered DB7 Vantage. And if you want to make the most of that V12, your best bet is the GT, complete with more horsepower and a good ol' manual transmission. Unfortunately, given how rare these cars are, you'll have to be patient to find a good one on the market. This owner is certainly lucky to have not only probably the most desirable DB7 variant, but also one in a bespoke color that stands out while staying true to the brand's heritage.
