A rare 1911 Lozier Model 51 Seven-Passenger Touring arriving at and leaving the 2025 Holiday Motor Excursion presented by the Horseless Carriage Club (HCCA) of Southern California. This car, chassis no. 3574, previously resided in the Henry Ford Museum. Finished in Olive Green with Gold pinstriping, it underwent a detailed restoration by Ken Pearson who acquired it in 1968 and won the AACA National First Prize in 1970. It was sold in 2013 for $1,100,000 at the RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island auction and again in 2016 for $990,000 at the RM Sotheby’s Arizona auction.

Once again, I find myself humbled at having discovered a car brand I'd never heard of. You'd think as a lifelong car enthusiast focused on exotics I should be quite familiar with prominent high-end car manufacturers. Well, Loziers were at one point among the world's most expensive cars. Yet I had to do some research just to find out that the company wasn't French despite its French-sounding name.

By today's standards, it may be hard to tell the difference between luxury, ultra-luxury, and even some base-level brass era cars. But there's no doubt this Lozier was a crowd pleaser, and it didn't take me long to conclude that getting good video footage of it parked without anybody in the way would be nearly impossible. Still, I didn't expect to learn that this is a million-dollar car. Amidst growing concerns that overall demand for antique cars is gradually shrinking as the market's target demographic continues to age, this car shows that a truly special horseless carriage can still get the love it deserves!

Would you pay a million dollars for this rare Lozier? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
