Rare Exposed Carbon Porsche 993 Gunther Werks Speedster RX-0 Unicorn Commission

A very rare Porsche 911 (993) Gunther Werks Speedster, one of 25 Speedsters built, arriving at and leaving "Prebble", a Pre-Monterey (Pre-Pebble Beach) gathering at Oakley headquarters presented by Ancillary Studios in collaboration with HyperSociety. Introduced in 2021, the Speedster was the second model by California-based Gunther Werks. With a starting price of $675,000, it is based on a Porsche 993 Cabriolet and features a new roll cage and roll hoop and carbon fiber bodywork inspired by Porsche's past Speedster models. Like the Gunther Werks Coupe, it is powered by an air-cooled 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine developed by Rothsport producing over 430 horsepower mated to a rebuilt Getrag G50 six-speed transmission with bespoke custom ratios. This example, the RX-0 Unicorn commission, was inspired by the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam and is finished in exposed carbon fiber with Violet Ocean accents. It was displayed at the Vorsteiner/Gunther Werks booth at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

There are many companies specializing in bespoke restomods based on older Porsche 911s, and with the Speedster Gunther Werks showed the world that it's not satisfied with simply being a one-hit wonder.
