Rare Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta in Rosso Formula 1 2007

A rare Red (Rosso Formula 1 2007) 2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale A (Aperta) with racing livery, one of 499 Speciale Apertas built, leaving Cars and Chronos at Hing Wa Lee Plaza. Introduced at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the 458 Speciale A is the convertible version of the performance-focused Speciale. It is powered by a 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 597 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque and can reach a top speed of 199 mph.

Having already produced the 430 Scuderia Spider 16M, Ferrari knew that its customers wanted a focus on performance combined with open-top pleasure. And since the base 458 Spider already came with a retractable hardtop that makes the car look and feel much like a coupe with the top up, the introduction of the Speciale Aperta was really no surprise. Personally I've always thought the Speciale's design is a little too busy from the front. But this car is more about the driving experience than anything else, especially with the top down. And this spec is an excellent choice, with the racing stripe providing just the right amount of contrast from the unique shade of Ferrari red. I especially love the matching interior trim. As with nearly all modern track-focused Ferraris with gas-only powertrains, especially those built in limited numbers, this is a car that is sure to continue growing in value and desirability.

Would you choose this car over a fixed-top 458 Speciale? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
