Rare McLaren Senna and Senna GTR

A 2020 McLaren Senna GTR and a 2019 McLaren Senna arriving at and leaving Period Correct Pitstop. The Senna GTR, finished in Rocket Red and Anniversary White, is no. 03 of 75 GTRs built and was converted for street use by Lanzante. The exposed carbon fiber Senna with yellow accents is no. 382 of 500 Sennas built.

I'm a little surprised at how often I see Sennas. Yes, there were more of them built than any of McLaren's other hypercars. But even at events where hypercars aren't typically expected, if there's one hypercar that shows up, it would be the Senna. By now, most people seem to have gotten used to the car's polarizing looks, though I don't consider that a good excuse for a clearly incoherent design. I gotta say, though, those little windows on the lower part of the doors are pretty cool to see in person when the car is moving.

Of course, here in Southern California, people are always eager to stand out. And that's where the street-legal Senna GTR comes in. Personally, I think the GTR's added aero bits help mask some of the base car's awkward styling elements. And though I've seen a few Senna GTRs (and numerous standard Sennas) before, it's great to catch the two side by side for a clear comparison.

Would you rather have the standard Senna or the Senna GTR? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
