Rare Red 1914 Paige Touring Car

A rare red 1914 Paige Touring car with black fenders arriving at and leaving the 2025 Holiday Motor Excursion presented by the Horseless Carriage Club (HCCA) of Southern California.

Flip through the Paiges (sorry, not sorry) of early automotive history, and you'll quickly discover that there are countless now-defunct manufacturers that even many car enthusiasts today have never heard of. The Paige name may not be quite as obscure as some of the other little-known brands represented at the annual Horseless Carriage show, but it's still one you'd rarely have a chance to cross paths with. The automaker most closely associated with it, Graham, is now also defunct, and the company that bought out that company's assets, Kaiser-Frazer, has also gone the way of the dodo. So if you're unfamiliar with Paige, you're certainly not alone. It's often hard to tell apart cars of this era without looking at the front grille, and I'm glad I paid enough attention to notice that it was different from anything else I'd seen. This car's interior (and some of its bodywork) definitely shows its age, and I'd love to find out whether its owner plans to restore it or leave it as is. Either way, it's a great way to show up at a massive horseless carriage gathering with confidence that there won't be another car like yours!
