Rare White 2012 Lexus LFA
A rare 2012 Lexus LFA arriving at and leaving South OC Cars and Coffee at the Outlets at San Clemente. Introduced in production form in October 2009 after nearly ten years of development, the LFA had a starting price (MSRP) of $375,000 and is powered by a 552-horsepower 4.8-liter 1LR-GUE V10 engine jointly developed by Toyota and Yamaha Motor Company with acoustic engineering by Yamaha's music division. This car, finished in Whitest White with Dark Premium Metallic wheels, is no. 468 of 500 LFAs built. On December 5, 2025, Toyota announced the second-generation Lexus LFA, shown in concept form, which will share structural components with the upcoming GR GT and GT3 and utilize an electric powertrain.
Toyota recently made headlines with the introduction of its trio of upcoming high-performance cars - the GR GT, the GR GT3, and of course, the next-generation Lexus LFA. And while the new LFA remains labeled as a concept for now, Toyota has confirmed it will be clearly differentiated from its GR cousins through not only unique styling, but also an electric powertrain. This may come as a disappointment to some enthusiasts, as even the best attempts at improving the EV driving experience hasn't been able to satisfy those who love the sound and experience of a traditional gas powertrain. But it also confirms that the original LFA, with its naturally-aspirated V10 known for its incredible sound at high revs, will go down in history as a truly special car without equal. And I wouldn't be surprised if this LFA's desirability and value continue to increase as more attention is drawn to Toyota's clear intent to compete with the world's best supercars.
How do you think the recent introduction of Toyota's GR GT, GR GT3, and next-generation Lexus LFA will affect the value and desirability of the original LFA? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
