A rare red 1956 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) Gullwing, one of 1,400 300 SL coupes built between 1954 and 1957, leaving Peninsula Cars & Coffee at Promenade on the Peninsula, organized by the Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance.

It's hard to find a car more beautiful than this. With its sensual shape, chrome accents, interior upholstery, and unmistakable gullwing doors, the 300 SL looks like it was designed solely as a museum showpiece. But beneath its skin is the heart of a true performance car - one known for lightweight construction, an innovative frame design, and an engine derived from the mighty W194 300 SL racers. With such excellence in both styling and engineering, it's no surprise this car has become a highly valuable and sought-after collector's item.

Do you think the 300 SL is among the most beautiful cars ever made? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
