A red (Rosso Corsa) 1981 Ferrari 308 GTSi arriving at and leaving Claremont Cars & Coffee at Granite Creek Community Church.

I had a great chat with the owner of this 308 in which I mentioned that my C4 Corvette (which was parked a few rows down) was largely inspired by this car and was surprised to discover that he had actually also considered a C4 before ultimately deciding on the 308. It's hard to imagine my car being cross-shopped with a Ferrari. Yes, the 308 is a relatively inexpensive (by Ferrari standards) way to obtain a car with a Prancing Horse badge (given you have a healthy budget for ongoing repairs/maintenance). But it seems like more and more people are gravitating toward it simply because it is, just like the C4 and many JDM sports cars, a fun early rad-era performance car with iconic styling that offers lots of fun whether attending a car meet or carving the canyons. And it also helps that a certain American TV show turned it into a superstar that few will fail to recognize!

Would you choose a Ferrari 308 over contemporary American or Japanese sports cars? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
