Signal Yellow Triebwerk Porsche 964 F4.3 Backdate

A rare custom Triebwerk Porsche F4.3 arriving at and leaving Manhattan Beach Cars & Coffee at The Point in El Segundo. Built in Schwelm, Germany by Das Triebwerk DTW GmbH for the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE in 2023, the F4.3 was based on a 1991 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera 2 coupe and completed over a course of six months. The bespoke backdate features steel bodywork inspired by the F-model 911 with fiberglass ducktail spoiler, a modern interior with electronically adjustable full bucket seats and concealed sound system, and Triebwerk wheels developed in partnership with Irmler Racing. It is powered by a 4.3-liter Triebwerk six-cylinder boxer engine producing 398 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque with components developed by EGMO in Switzerland. Finished in Signal Yellow, this car was the first Triebwerk Porsche in the U.S. and was displayed in August 2026 at the Porsche Club of America (PCA) Werks Reunion and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion during Monterey Car Week.

Most people aren't surprised to see restomod Porsches at car shows. After all, it seems like every week there's a new company offering a heavily revamped 911 at a stratospheric price. But what caught nearly everyone off guard was that this car is a 964 made to look like an earlier 911. And it's certainly far more than a cosmetic transformation. Just look under the hood and inside the cabin and you can't help but be amazed at all its fine details. This example proudly wears German plates and has made appearances at numerous Southern California car events, helping bring awareness to the Germany-based brand. (I first saw it about a month earlier at the San Marino Motor Classic and filmed it simply because it looked special even though I had never heard of Triebwerk at the time.) I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what other incredible builds they come up with!
