A rare blue 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 owned and driven by SCCA Trans-Am and NASCAR racing driver Tomy Drissi starting up and driving after the 2022 Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance. This example is a factory street spec model with rear exit exhaust system, front and rear bumpers, and Sunburst wheels. One of 998 original Shelby Cobras built, it has been owned by Drissi for over 20 years and features a personalized Carroll Shelby signature on the glove box door.

Being a racing driver is one of those career paths that you wouldn't choose to pursue unless you're truly passionate about it. And that means cars in the personal garages of racing drivers are usually those that fulfill the desires of those who appreciate speed, performance, design, and whatever else fuels their passion. This Cobra is certainly no exception - a car built (and signed) by one of the most legendary names in American performance car history to take on the best of the best. I've always considered the combination of the 427's wide rear fenders and the street-spec car's narrow wheels a bit odd-looking, like a project car that's only partially complete. But there's no doubt this is an incredible car in a fitting color, complete with an oh-so-lovely 427 V8 engine and an owner who's certainly no stranger to how a good performance car should be.

Would you leave this car in its original street configuration with bumpers, rear exhaust, and narrow rear tires? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
