A green and white 1966 Porsche 906 Carrea 6 LH "Langheck" (Longtail) replica built for and used in the 2019 movie "Ford v Ferrari" (also called "Le Mans '66"), starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale, leaving Cars in the Canyon at Oak Canyon Park, where several other cars from the film were displayed. This car was built on a bespoke fabricated chassis by a race shop in Los Angeles and is powered by a Subaru engine. It utilized some factory Porsche components and features a body constructed using 3D modeling of original Porsche 906 bodywork.

If it weren't for the "Ford v. Ferrari" movie, many people may not even recognize this car as a Porsche since its profile is quite different from that of a typical 911 or 356. The film has helped attract much more mainstream interest in '60s race cars and racing history. Unlike many cars made for the big screen, this one features extensive detail with even the interior fully recreated. (And yes, those backless seats were pretty much what you would have gotten in a real 906. Modern supercar drivers have it way too easy...) Sure, it may not be an original 906. But the fact that it was built specially for the iconic movie makes it no less of a special car to see in person.

Would you add this film-used Porsche 906 replica to your garage? Leave a comment on YouTube and let me know!
