Red Ferrari California T in Newport Beach
A red Ferrari California T driving on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) in Newport Beach. Introduced in 2014, the California T was an updated version of the California featuring revised styling and a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 553 horsepower and 557 lb-ft of torque mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Many supercars nowadays spend their entire lives cruising to and from shops and restaurants in fancy beach communities. Ferrari was well aware of that, which is why it gave customers the option of a car that's actually catered toward that purpose. The California is often dismissed as a softer, less capable Ferrari. But it's a perfect choice for those who want (and can afford) the power, style, and prestige associated with the Prancing Horse logo in a package that's suitable for daily road use. Plus, I think the California T's design is much improved compared to the original California. This car is probably not going to come anywhere close to reaching the highly coveted status of its contemporary stablemates. But it's still an excellent way to cruise down PCH in style with the confidence of knowing you have a powerful Ferrari V8 at your disposal.
